Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) out of network coverage BCBS plan out of network coverage was based on the charged amount BCBS plan out of network coverage will be based on the BCBS standard indemnity fee schedule (this change will lower the amount paid by the Plan and increase the amount owed by the member in most cases).
Leave of Absence By 9/30 fall term and 2/28 spring term insurance charges are taken off the term bill and student had the option to purchase the Student Health Fee and Blue Cross Blue Shield. This counted as one of the two terms of coverage allowed. Note: Dependents eligible.


On or after 10/1 fall term and 3/1 spring term the Student Health Fee and Blue Cross Blue Shield charges remained on student’s term bill and the student remained covered for the remainder of that term. This counted as one of the two terms of coverage allowed.
By 9/30 fall term and 2/28 spring term HUSHP Basic and HUSHP Supplemental insurance charges are removed from the student’s term bill as long as services have not been utilized. HUHS reserves the right to bill for any services used or to put the plan charges back on the student’s term bill. The student may purchase the HUSHP Supplemental only, within 30 days. (HUSHP Basic is not available and students can not be seen at HUHS.) Note: Dependents are not eligible to enroll.

On or after 10/1 fall term and 3/1 spring term HUSHP basic is prorated to the last day of the month the student goes on leave. The student is no longer eligible to be seen at HUHS after this date. HUSHP Supplemental charges will remain on the student’s term bill and the student will be covered for the remainder of the term. This will count as one of the two terms of coverage allowed. Note: This applies to dependents that are active on the plan.
Withdrawn/Not Registered Policy By 9/30 fall term and 2/28 spring term insurance charges for the Student Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) Plan and Student Health Fee (SHF) will be removed from the student’s term bill for that term. The student is not eligible to purchase the Harvard University Student Health Plan.

On or after 10/1 fall term and 3/1 spring term the Student Health Fee and Blue Cross Blue Shield coverage will remain in effect for the remainder of that term. The student is not eligible to renew coverage after this date.
By 9/30 fall term and 2/28 spring term HUSHP Basic and HUSHP Supplemental charges are removed from student’s term bill. HUHS reserves the right to bill for any services used. The student is not eligible to purchase the Harvard University Student Health Plan (HUSHP).

The student is no longer eligible to be seen at HUHS after this date. Charges for HUSHP Supplemental coverage will remain on the term bill and coverage will remain in effect for the remainder of that term. The student is not eligible to renew coverage after this date.
