Nutrient Sources of Potassium

Some individuals may not be able to meet their potassium supplementation needs through dietary sources alone.  Typical intake of dietary potassium is 2000 - 4000 mg a day.  If you have been advised to follow a high potassium diet, aim for at least 6000 mg a day.  If you have high blood pressure, you may also benefit from increasing your dietary calcium and magnesium.
