Mount Auburn Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn) at Harvard University Health Services:
We are a group of experienced women’s health clinicians who have come together out of a commitment to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. Our goal is to provide you with the latest in comprehensive women’s health services. We recognize that health care is varied and personal. Our patient centered approach encourages you to be an active participant in choosing the options that best suit you.
It is important to us that you feel confident in the care you receive. We have a dedicated, professional office staff to help coordinate your care. Our registered nurse is available to answer your questions and expedite urgent visits when necessary.
We are affiliated with Mount Auburn Hospital, a leader in community-based medicine, serving women since 1886.
Our team of providers offer family planning services and preconception counseling. We routinely care for both low and high risk pregnancies, including vaginal birth after cesarean section (VBAC) and twins. Our obstetric patients deliver at the Bain Birthing Center at Mount Auburn Hospital, a family centered unit dedicated to providing individualized, supportive care. Our maternity services include a Level II nursery and 24-hour in-house pediatric coverage. Obstetric anesthesia is always available. During the postpartum stay, breastfeeding is encouraged and lactation consultants provide daily education and assistance.
We provide preventive, well-woman care for all ages, in addition to medical and surgical management of a wide range of gynecologic problems, including:
- Infertility evaluation and treatment
- Menstrual abnormalities
- Abnormal pap smears
We are experienced in traditional surgical techniques, as well as minimally invasive hysteroscopy and laparoscopy. We also offer a variety of in-office minor procedures when appropriate.
- Sub-Specialty Care
We collaborate closely with sub-specialists in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, and Urogynecology.
Students and Harvard University Group Health Plan members have access to this service.
Appointments are made in advance for non-emergent and preventive health visits. If you have an urgent problem, please call our office and we will schedule an appointment for you. If your usual provider is unable to see you, our collaborative approach allows you to see one of the other members of our team. To schedule an appointment, please call 617-495-2333 and our office staff will be happy to assist you.
