COVID-19 Vaccine Updates

The 2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccine has received Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval, but it does not have a recommendation from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

In the interim, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health has made everyone six months and older eligible to receive the 2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccine. Please check your local retail pharmacy (such as CVS and Walgreens) for information about availability.

Currently, HUHS has a limited supply of COVID-19 vaccine. Those insured through Harvard University Group Health Plan (HUGHP), the Harvard Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), and Medicare patients with an HUHS primary care provider can call (617) 495-5711 to make a vaccination appointment. As a reminder, COVID-19 vaccinations are billed to individual health insurance plans.
