HUHS Hosts Flu Vaccine Clinic
Harvard University Health Services (HUHS) will host a week-long flu vaccine clinic from Monday, September 29, through Friday, October 3, from 10am to 6pm in Harvard Commons within the Smith Campus Center. On Wednesday, October 1, there will be extended hours; vaccination will be available from 10am to 8pm.
All HUHS patients and those with an active Harvard ID can receive vaccination by scheduling through the HUHS Patient Portal. Same day appointments will be available, but advanced booking is highly recommended. Fluarix and FluZone HD (high-dose vaccine for those 65 and older) will be available. Both are latex-free, preservative-free, and inactivated ‘egg-based’ vaccines. We are unable to offer flu vaccination to children. Please schedule a vaccination through your pediatrician.
Flu vaccine is given in the upper arm. Please wear clothing to your appointment that permits easy access to your arm. If you feel faint or need to lie down for vaccines, please make a vaccination appointment with your HUHS provider.
Vaccination will be available in the Longwood Medical Area on Thursday, October 23, from 10am – 2pm, and Tuesday, November 4, from 12pm – 3pm in the Veritas Science Center (formerly the New Research Building). The Law School will host a flu clinic on Wednesday, October 29 from 5pm – 7pm at Milstein East BC (WCC 2036). No appointment is necessary for the Law School clinic.
NOTE: Students are required to receive the flu vaccine each year. Noncompliance will result in an inability to register for Spring semester classes. Registration holds will be applied to student accounts by Tuesday, September 23.
