Masking Is Encouraged but Optional at Harvard University Health Services
Face masks are encouraged but optional throughout Harvard University Health Services (HUHS). Masks are available upon entry for those who choose to wear them.
Patients with symptoms of respiratory illness and those with known COVID-19 exposure are required to wear a mask when entering HUHS.
Masking in a mask-optional setting should be respected. There are members of our community who may be at higher risk of complications if exposed to respiratory illness. Patients may request that providers wear a mask during appointments.
Harvard University Health Services is committed to protecting the health and wellbeing of all patients. We will continue to monitor the impact of respiratory illness on our community and will update our policy if necessary.
