Juggling work, life, and school? Harvard University Health Services (HUHS) knows that students in rigorous academic programs need mental health and wellbeing support, whether studying online or in person.

Make navigating your unique journey more manageable by enrolling in the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program for Online Students. The program provides access to wellness offerings from Harvard’s Center for Wellness and Health Promotion and TimelyCare, a virtual mental health and wellbeing platform designed for colleges and universities.

Eligibility

Who is eligible to purchase the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program for Online Students?

  • You must be enrolled in the HGSE Online Education Leadership (OEL) program. This program is open to new and returning HGSE OEL students.

Can I purchase coverage for my dependents?

    • At this time, dependents are not eligible to enroll in the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program for Online Students.
    Coverage and Enrollment

    Coverage Period for Academic Year 2025 – 2026

      • Coverage start date: August 15, 2025
      • Coverage end date: July 31, 2026
      Enrollment Deadline

      September 15, 2025, at 11:59 EST is the enrollment deadline. No enrollment will be permitted after the deadline.

      Pricing & Billing

      The Mental Health & Wellbeing Program for Online Students is offered at a discounted rate of $350 for the 2025–2026 academic year. This reflects a $100 launch-year discount off the standard fee of $450. The fee will be charged to your Fall 2025 student bill.

      Cancellations & Refunds

      Cancellation requests must be received within 5 days of submitting your enrollment form in order to receive a refund. Otherwise, no refunds will be granted, including for program withdrawals or leaves of absence. Cancellation requests should be directed to Member Services at mservices@huhs.harvard.edu.

      What services are included in the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program for Online Students?

      TimelyCare

      TalkNow

      • 24/7, on-demand, 30-minute video calls focused on mental and emotional support, health literacy guidance, and crisis management by master’s-level mental health professionals. Goal-based support with tailored resources (not formal psychotherapy).

      Self-Care Content Library

      • Unlimited 24/7 access to guided self-paced and interactive wellness journeys rooted in therapeutic practices on topics like stress, healthy relationships, yoga, meditation, study, and recovery essentials on TimelyCare.

      Peer Support Community

      • Engage with your peers in a moderated and anonymous community forum in the TimelyCare app.

      Individual Counseling

      • Up to 12, 60-minute, TimelyCare telehealth counseling visits are fully covered each academic year (available to US-based students only). Choose the day, time, and mental health provider that best works for you and your schedule.

      Unlimited Health Coaching

        • Unlimited 1:1 scheduled wellness calls with a certified health coach to address topics such as healthy eating, exercise/movement, sleep, physical wellbeing, substance use/misuse, time management, among others. Health coaches typically assist with setting personalized goals and strategies to suit your unique needs. Coaches are available at a wide range of times.
        Center for Wellness and Health Promotion

        HUHS Virtual Health Promotion Classes

          • Access to HUHS’s Center for Wellness and Health Promotion’s virtual wellness offerings, with content focused on mindfulness, stress reduction, and sleep.
