Each patient has unique needs, and can receive comprehensive evaluation, consultation, referral, treatment, and follow-up services. Our Behavioral Health clinicians offer:
- Individual counseling
- Cognitive-behavioral therapy
- Medication evaluation and management
- Evaluation for full or partial hospitalizations
Available to patients with an HUHS primary care physician.
Harvard University Health Services can arrange for an interpreter during your appointment. Please make your request when you schedule your appointment.
A referral from your HUHS primary care physician is necessary to make an appointment in Behavioral Health.
Please note: a patient can only be seen in Behavioral Health if their PCP is located at HUHS in the Smith Campus Center.
Harvard University Group Health Plan, Medicare members, and their dependents must have an HUHS primary care physician.

- Seniors Living Alone During the Pandemic
Led by Mireya Nadal-Vicens, MD, PhD
This drop-in check-in group is primarily focused on seniors living alone who are struggling with loneliness, fears, or anxieties due to the ongoing pandemic. The group is mostly unstructured, based on member participation and the sharing of thoughts and strategies. There are some mindfulness exercises and the goal is to practice a positive reappraisal style.
